Most past issues have not been updated since their date of publication. The journal's topics vary as the editors seek to cover the full range of policy issues affecting children. Upcoming issues may revisit past topics or include them within the discussion of other, related, children's policies.  You can go to the Resources(link is external)(link is external) section on our site for links to the centers run by the journal's senior editors. These websites are particularly good sources of current information and may be of help in your research.

Yes. For every volume, we hold an editorial meeting with authors, editors, and outside reviewers who provide extensive comments on each paper.

No, the Future of Children does not provide any funding or financial assistance for programs or individuals.

Yes, authorization to photocopy articles for personal use is granted by the Future of Children. Reprinting is also allowed, so long as the journal article is properly given attribution. For journals published prior to January 2005 (Volumes 1-14) please use this attribution: "From The Future of Children, a publication of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation." For journals published after that date (Volumes 15 and higher), please use this attribution: "From The Future of Children, a collaboration of The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and the Brookings Institution." It is the current policy of the journal not to charge for reprinting, but this policy is subject to change.
